Zlata’s passion for green building and sustainable architecture began while studying at Princeton and Oxford University, where she pursued a unique combination of politics and architecture. Her academic focus revealed that politics plays a crucial role in the transition to green building codes and the adoption of renewable energy in urban development and infrastructure. She recognized that lobbying, policy, and regulation are essential in driving the shift towards environmentally responsible construction and urban planning, especially in cities where it has not been the common-practice.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Zlata gained invaluable experience working in real estate private equity and venture capital, where she specialized in investing in buildings, modular construction projects, innovative proptech, and climate tech startups. This experience provided her with deep insights into the latest advancements in technology that are shaping the future of urban development.
